Students in Mr. Heit’s American History class participate in the Stock Market Game each year.  Students work in groups to learn more about corporations, capitalism, and the free market system.  They also invest up to 100,000 dollars in a simulation contest with other high school teams in Kansas.  Emma Holt, Amaya Ralston, Tatiana Hopkins, and Kordelle Dee finished as the top-ranked Cherryvale team.  Their team finished with a rank of 8 out of 423 participating high school teams in Kansas.  Their portfolio achieved a 17% profit with Tesla and Apple gaining the highest returns.
