Halloween/Fall Activities in SEK

Halloween/Fall Activities in SEK

There isn’t much to do in southeast kansas, but here is a list of some activities for the fall/halloween season.

  • Haunted Houses – There are a few haunted houses relatively close to Cherryvale. One haunted house in Parsons, Project Fear, is always at the top of the list when looking for something to do in the Halloween season. Another popular haunted house, The Asylum, is located in Nowata, OK. It is a little bit further, but has received positive reviews.
  • Pumpkin Patch – The Pumpkin Patch at Prior Creek Farms has gained a lot of popularity in the few years it has been open. It is located near Cherryvale right off highway U.S. 400 on Montgomery County Road 4900. There are a lot of fun activities when visiting the Pumpkin Patch. There are vendors you can buy things from, as well as a sort of gift shop in the area you enter the pumpkin patch in, playground equipment, hayrides, and events such as an art event and an Eclipse Watch Party. This is a family friendly location for people of any age.
  • Trunk or Treat – On October 31, Halloween day, the Cherryvale Christian Church hosts the Trunk or Treat. Everybody lines up and gives away candy in one big block section so that kids don’t have to go door to door. The trunks of vehicles are decorated as houses would be decorated.
